Model 2: EDR4RXD1

This model will go in the fridge model with the filter compartment on the right side of the roof.

Step 1: Open the door of the compartment by pulling on the visible lever.

Step 2: Turn the old filter to the left and pull it out. Throw it out.

Step 3: Put the new filter in the compartment, align it properly and push it in, turning it to the right as you do so. Be sure it locks in.

Step 4: Close the door of the compartment and run water through it to clean it out.

Model 3: EDR1RXD1

This model will go in the filter that is on the upper right hand side of the fridge

Step 1: Open the compartment door.

Step 2: Pull out the old filter and throw it away.

Step 3: Insert the new filter after removing the O-rings’ protective coverings. Be sure the arrow on the filter points up. If it doesn’t slide in freely, turn it until the grooves align.

Step 4: When you get it right, the compartment door will close on its own. But push it manually so it snaps shut.

Step 5: Run water through it until the new filter is thoroughly clean.

Model 4: EDR3RXD1

For this model, the filter compartment will be on the left side of the base grille of the fridge.

Step 1: Press the button on the door to eject the filter. Remove the black cap from it and throw away the old filter.

Step 2: Replace the blue cap on the new filter with the black one from the old filter. Make sure the O-rings remain intact after removing the blue cap.

Step 3: Put the new filter in, making sure the arrow points up. You will know it is fully in when the eject button pops out.

Step 4: Run water until the filter is clean.

Model 5: EDR5RXD1

The cartridge cap of the filter will be on the left side of the base grille of the refrigerator

Step 1: Turn the cap in a counterclockwise fashion until the handle becomes vertical. Pull the filter out then.

Step 2: Remove the cap of the filter by moving it from the top to the bottom of the filter. Slide it off, keep it and throw out the old filter.

Step 3: Take the new filter and slide in the old cap after removing the new cap and O-rings’ protective coverings.

Step 4: Keep the cap handle vertical and push the filter into its slot. Turn it until it is horizontal again.
