Who Needs the Phiestina 33-Bottle Dual Zone Wine Cooler?
The Phiestina 33-Bottle Dual Zone Wine Cooler is designed for 33 standard-sized wine bottles to fit in. This is probably something to zero in on if the capacity is particularly what you are looking for.
We are aware that wineries use bottles that are bigger than the standard-sized ones these days. So, it is very unlikely that a user has a collection of wines with all standard-sized bottles.
That said, the wooden and removable wine racks in this unit will come in handy whenever the large bottles need to be stored. Of course, doing that will reduce the wine cooler’s capacity. So, you may not be able to store up to 33 wine bottles in it.
This wine cooler will also be suitable for those who are big on noiseless appliances because it runs quietly.
Generally, if you are in the market for a wine cooler that has a traditional but sleek design, runs quietly, cools to exact temperatures, and offers the kind of capacity that this wine cooler offers, then this probably the wine cooler you’ve been looking for.

What Users Are Saying about the Phiestina 33-Bottle Dual Zone Wine Cooler
For a good number of customers, the Phiestina 33-Bottle Dual Zone Wine Cooler is a good choice.
Some users noted that the unit was a good buy because they were able to get good value for their money. For instance, a customer mentioned that he found the wine cooler to be quieter than his previous wine cooler. He also stated that it was able to bring wines to precise temperatures.
Someone else said that the unit does a great cooling job and that he could barely hear a sound when then the compressor kicked on.
Generally, the good sides of the wine cooler, according to the users, include the design, quiet cooling, steady temperatures, and wide temperature range.
On the flip side, there were complaints about the wine cooler not being able to store up to 33 bottles as Phiestina claims. While this may be true for collections that include large wine bottles, we think the stated capacity can only work with standard-sized wine bottles especially if they are placed in alternate directions on the wine racks.
Nonetheless, the good sides outweigh the downsides. This is one reason that a good number will recommend it to a shopper who is looking for a cooler of the sort.

Our Verdict
In our opinion, the Phiestina 33-Bottle Dual Zone Wine Cooler is a good one and probably worth considering as a first wine cooler, a replacement, or an addition.
Some of the features we like about this wine cooler include its noiseless operation, its traditional and sleek design, and its user-friendly controls.
The design, for instance, makes the unit blend in almost any space; whether it’s in the home, office, dormitory, or in a commercial bar. The blue interior light in each of the zones also contributes to the aesthetic value that the wine cooler offers. We particularly love how the unit stands out at night when the interior lights are on.
And that’s not all.
The efficient compressor seems to be able to do a fine job with cooling the wines and bringing them to optimum temperatures. What’s more? The unit is able to hold the set temperatures properly without fluctuations within a wide range of 40 degrees and 66 degrees Fahrenheit.
One downer, though: except the user’s wine collection is 100% comprised of standard-sized wine bottles, getting in 33 bottles is a herculean task. And an attempt to fit the large bottles in will mean removing one or more shelves; which will reduce the capacity.
We also observed that the unit tends to get hot at the sides until the interiors are fully cooled. Again, as a freestanding unit, one of the ways to dissipate heat will be to allow ample clearance around the unit.

Phiestina 33-Bottle Dual Zone Wine Cooler — Related FAQs
What Temperature Should My Dual Zone Wine Fridge Be?
Your dual zone wine fridge should be set at the following temperatures:
- One compartment (the red wine compartment) should be set at between 50 and 65 degrees Fahrenheit.
- The other compartment (for white wine) should be set at between 45 and 50 degrees Fahrenheit.
Red wines can be stored for up to ten years, while white wines can be stored for up to three years. When storing, remember that wines have expiry dates; so, do not store them till they have expired. Also, avoid fluctuation in temperature, as that can cause premature aging of the wines.
How Long Does a Wine Fridge Last?
A wine fridge can last from 5 to 10 years, depending on the condition of use. When delivered in good condition, properly installed, and used the right way, you can expect a wine fridge to last between 5 and 10 years—even longer.
Some factors that may determine how long a wine fridge will last are environmental factors like humidity and temperature. When used in extreme conditions, mishandled, or stored improperly, the lifespan of a wine fridge may be shortened.
How Does a Dual Zone Wine Cooler Work?
A dual-zone wine cooler is a wine cooler that has two separate compartments, with separate temperature controls. This means that it is possible to store a certain type of wine at one temperature, and another type at a different temperature.
With these distinct features, a wine cooler preserves wines at the right temperature over a long period of time and lessens the stress of accumulation. Unlike a regular refrigerator where you have to bother about where you kept what, a dual-zone wine fridge saves you the stress.
Why are Wine Coolers so Expensive?
Wine coolers are expensive, first, because of the technology that goes into making them. A good wine cooler is either made with the compressor mechanism or thermoelectric mechanism for cooling. Either mechanism works to disseminate cold air in the wine cooler while maintaining the set temperature range.
Another reason for the high price of wine coolers may depend on the type you are buying. Single zone wine coolers (used for storing only one type of wine) will not be as expensive as the dual-zone wine cooler, which is made to store two different wine types at separate temperatures.
What Happens if You Store Wine Too Cold?
If you store wine too cold, the wine will freeze and expand, causing the bottle to either crack or the cork to be forced open. When any of these happens, the quality, taste, and life cycle of the wine is altered, as the wine is exposed to more oxygen.
Most times, you have to discard the wine, or you hold a cleaning session to salvage the situation. Different wine types must be stored at the recommended temperature range to preserve their taste, quality, and freshness.
What’s the Difference Between a Wine Cooler and a Beverage Cooler?
The difference between a wine cooler and a beverage cooler is first, the temperature range to which each is set. A beverage cooler is set to a lower temperature range than a wine cooler because wines do not have to be stored as cold as other beverages.
A wine cooler is often set to a temperature not below 45 degrees Fahrenheit. Also, as the names imply, a wine cooler is made strictly for storing wines, while almost every other beverage can be stored in a beverage cooler.
