How To Take Doors Off Amana Refrigerator

Step 11: Using a 3/16th inch hex key wrench, take out the two screws which hold the hinge plate in place.

Step 12: Open the door partially while making sure to support the bottom. You may need two people for this.

Step 13: Lift the door off and set it on a sturdy surface lined with a cloth.

To reinstall the two doors, follow these steps…

Step 1: Lift the left door and position it on the bottom hinge plate then shut it.

Step 2: Return the two screws which hold the hinge plate in place. Make sure to have someone supporting the door as you return the screws.

Step 3: Reconnect the wire harness to the door.

Step 4: Push the water tubing back in. If there is a waterline clip, push it down.

Step 5: Return the hinge plate cover and hold it in place with the Philips head screw.

Step 6: Lift the door and position it on the bottom hinge plate.

Step 7: Shut the door.

Step 8: Support the door as you return the two screws which hold the top hinge plate in place.

Step 9: Return the cover and hold it in place with the Philips head screw.

Step 10: Reconnect the power to the refrigerator by plugging the power cord back into the outlet.
