Haier Refrigerator Error Codes – What They Mean

Here are the basic Haier refrigerator error codes:

F1, F2, F3, F4, F5, F6, F7, E0, E1, E2, E5, E6, Er, and Ed.

Now, these codes represent different faults for different Haier refrigerator models. So below are the meanings of different error codes for different models:

Model Number HRF-663/664

E0 – the display board and the PCB board have a bad connection

E1 – the motor of the freezer fan is faulty

E2 – the motor of the cooling fan has a problem

E5 – the damper control is faulty

ED – the defrost system is heating

Er – the ice maker has a problem

F1 – R1 issue with the refrigerator sensor

F2 – R2 issue with the refrigerator sensor

F3 – the temperature sensor for ambient environment has a problem

F4 – freezer sensor has a problem

F5 – the defrost sensor has a problem

F6 – the defrost sensor has a problem

F7 – the sensor of the ice maker has a problem

Most of the error codes here mean the same thing in different models but could appear differently. If your Haier refrigerator model doesn’t appear here, consult your owner’s manual for help.

For further guidance:

F1, F2, F3, F4, F5, F6, F7, F8, F9, Fr and Eh indicate that there is an error with some of the sensors.

E1, E2, E6, E9 indicate that there is an error with the fan motor.

Ec, Ed, Fd, Rd, Hd indicate a defrost error.

E0 indicates a communication error

And Er indicates an ice maker error.

To fix any of these errors, call for a service technician. These are highly technical issues that are not so easy to fix.
