How to Reset a Beko Fridge Freezer

To reset a Beko fridge freezer, it is likely you will have to reset the compressor. And to reset the compressor do the following:

Step 1

Unplug the unit from the wall socket or any other power source to which it is connected.

Step 2

Turn off the freezer and fridge temperature controls by moving them to 0 or Off. The controls are usually inside the fridge.

Step 3

Plug the unit back into the wall socket or the powers source it was connected to before you unplugged it earlier.

Step 4

Turn the freezer and fridge temperature controls to the setting you want. It could be any point from 0 to 9. Give the unit up to 24 hours to adjust fully to the new settings.

The compressor will have a chance to run optimally when you adjust the temperature controls. These steps also reset the thermostat of the fridge freezer.

Sometimes, unplugging the unit and leaving it unplugged for about 40 minutes will reset it. However, this is called a hard reset. It usually gets the unit up and running again, fixing some faults that were plaguing the fridge freezer.

How to Reset the Filter Light on a Beko Fridge

To reset the filter light on a Beko fridge when you change the filter, press and hold the Auto-Eco button for about 5 seconds. Then, the display will briefly flash before the light goes out.

In case the light comes on even though the filter has not been used, reset it by pressing the Dispenser Mode and Freezer Set buttons simultaneously for about 3 seconds. When you do this, the icon * will blink on the display about 10 times before the light goes out.
