This article details how to clean a Samsung refrigerator drawer. So you are in the right place if you are looking for how to perform this task.
How to Clean Drawers in a Samsung Fridge
Take the following steps if you want to clean the drawers in your Samsung fridge:
Take out all the drawers and empty them of all items. Store those that need to remain cold in another part of the fridge or use a cooler. For this, you don’t have to worry about food spoilage as cleaning the drawers won’t take too long.
For items that don’t look or smell good any longer, dispose of them. If you put them back in the drawers after cleaning them, you will only end up messing up the fridge again.
Gently but firmly scrape the sides and bottoms of the drawers. This is to remove any vegetable peel or spills that are stuck to the drawers. Doing this makes for an easier cleaning process.
Next, soak the drawers in hot water in order to loosen anything that is adhered to them. When they are soaked and rinsed in the hot water, wash them with mild dish soap and a soft sponge.
If doing this in the sink in your kitchen is too messy because the sink is too small, you can use your bathtub. But clean the tub thoroughly before putting the drawers in it; remember that you store food in these drawers.
When you have washed the drawers, rinse them with clean water and allow water to drip from them, then, expose them so they can air dry completely.
When they are dry, lay them aside. Then, mix two parts water and one part vinegar in a spray bottle. When they mix well, spray the mixture inside the fridge where the drawers usually cover. If you look closely, you will see that they are grimy and need cleaning.
Take a soft sponge and scrub these areas thoroughly. When they are clean, dry them with a clean and dry towel until they are completely dry.
If you find that the drawer glides have dirt embedded in them, scrub them clean using an old toothbrush. That is the handy object that can reach into the crevices of the glides and remove the dirt. Then, dispose of the toothbrush and allow the fridge to dry.
Reinstall the drawers in their places when the fridge dries. Then, refill them with the food items you removed earlier.
It is important to repeat this process regularly, not once every 6 months or one year. Doing this regularly ensures that fresh food stays in a clean environment. It also means you don’t have to work extra to clean them when you get around to it because they are extremely dirty.

For French Door Models…
If you are looking for how to clean a Samsung refrigerator drawer and it is a french door model, there is usually a glass shelf atop the drawers. To remove the shelf, take the drawers out of the fridge.
Next, find the tabs on the two sides of the drawer divider. The divider also serves as the housing for the water filter. Press these tabs to separate the shelf from the divider.
When separated from the divider, lift it slightly while pulling it out. This separates the glass shelf from the drawers so that you can clean them well.
The drawers hold fresh food such as vegetables and fruits. So if you are looking for how to clean the vegetable drawers in your Samsung fridge, these steps apply to them.
Note: These drawers are made of glass so when you are cleaning or washing them, it is important to handle them carefully.
Always unplug the refrigerator before taking out the drawers to clean them. You can plug it back into the wall socket while cleaning the drawers so the unit doesn’t defrost.
When you are ready to put the drawers back, unplug the unit. This step is important in order to avoid electrocution.
